Maya Dunne, Principal and founder of Maya Dunne and Associates, has over 25 years experience in the arena of non-profit program development, healthy communities and philanthropy.
Prior to forming the firm, Maya, as CEO/President, led the St. Joseph Health System Foundation to new programmatic success in grantmaking. She oversaw $15 million in giving a year to economically challenged communities. In addition, she served as the VP of Community Outreach overseeing community benefit and healthy communities planning with 14 hospitals in California and Texas.
Maya served as the first Director of Planning and Policy at the City of Los Angeles Housing Department, and the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, creating innovative program and policy approaches. She directed the Orange County Fair Housing Council, and strategically raised the organization out of debt.
As the co-founder of several non-profits in the area of public policy, community development and legal support including the Orange County Public Law Center, Maya specializes in innovative program development, new start-ups, foundation collaboration and capacity building, healthy communities, non-profit strategy/board governance, and mentoring.
